1. Remove any shrubs or trees next to your home that could hide a potential burglar from sight.
2. Don’t leave tools or ladders lying around your yard since impulse burglars can use them to gain access into your home.
3. Keep all entry doors well lighted.
4. Don’t hide keys outside your home, such as in your mailbox, under doormats or above doorways. Burglars usually know where they are.
5. Make sure all windows & doors are locked at night.
6. Insert extra safety bar for sliding glass doors.

Fire Safety Tips
1. Take time to set up a fire emergency plan with an Outside FIRE RALLY Point. Make it a Tree or area that is far away from the home, but all members know to meet there.
2. Get a Monitored Smoke Communicator installed from Alarms Across America that is tied into your Alarm System. Smoke Communicators are designed to not only sound a noise, but also set a specific Fire Alarm Signal through your security system. In addition, The Security System will then call ADT and ADT will dispatch Fire Department to your home whether you are able to or not.
3. Remove lint from your dryer after every use.
4. Check Hot-Spots for fire concerns. Hot-spots are hazard areas that can start a fire.
Personal Saftey Tips
1. Don’t enter your home if you see signs of forced entry. Go to neighbor’s house and call the police.
2. Know how to use all the Panic Buttons located on Your Alarm System.
3. Never tell a stranger you are home alone.
4. If you detect an intruder, don’t confront them. Panic can sometimes turn a burglary into a more dangerous crime.
