Here is the Concept:
You will be going through a RESUME DATABASE like Career Connections where people are placing there resumes in hopes an employer will call them to invite them into an interview. Our first step is not to call them into an interview. Our first step is to EMAIL them a link to a website where they can learn more about the Position being offered. Then we call them to let them know that we just emailed them a link to a video that will explain the position. If they like what they watch, then they will be prompted after the video to fill out a MINI-APPLICATION. Once they fill out the Mini-Application, we have another person call them to set up an interview. That is our process.
Now your job entails:
1. Getting out as many emails and making as many phones calls as possible while keeping organized.
2. Organization means knowing your script, knowing your way around the Resume Database, knowing your way around the Email workspace, making sure you always sort from NEWEST Resume first so that the order stays the same, answering phone if somebody calls you back, checking to see if we already emailed the person, selecting a drop down disposition on each person, researching and re-sending if the email came back as “couldn’t send” and keeping good notes and dates.
Your Goal is to get to around 90 Emails and calls out within a 4 hour period.
Career Connection
You will need to open career connection and mikes email using Mozilla Firefox.
*careerconnection.com / Career connection on the internet search bar
~Login: mikedee1@aol.com Password: alarms
*Email info: login.secureserver.net / Workspace Login under internet search bar
~Login: miked@alarmsacrossamerica.com Password: boombaby
*Search candidates ~ within 75 mi. of 23320
*Sort by: Newest First (tab at top of the screen) and 50 results per page (tab at bottom of the screen)
*Start on previous day and start working back through the applicants
~Click on applicants name. There will be a tab on the top middle of their info. If the status says none, enter applicants name into search bar in email to verify they have not already been contacted. (If tab says anything other than none that application has already been worked)
~If applicant has not been contacted go to email and click compose. Copy and paste their email into the line To: Then copy and paste their name into the subject line and hit send. Call applicant and if not directly contacted please leave a msg. (If issues finding the applicants phone #, email, etc. sometimes resumes are posted at the bottom as an attachment and will have more info)
*After the call you will log what happened. The pull down bar that said None will also have other options. We code them as follows:
Reviewed – No Interest: Unable to speak to anyone or leave msg.
Reviewed – Interest: Left a msg.
Forwarded – Have already been contacted (if more than a year can contact again)
Phone Screen – No Interest: Contacted applicant and they declined
Phone Screen – Accepted: Spoke with applicant and they agreed to watch video
*Next you can hit the right arrow button to scroll onto the next name and so on and so forth.
At the end of each day write the name and date you stopped on. This will make it easier to find where your starting point tomorrow. Also keep a record of how many emails you sent out that day to turn into Mike with your time card each week. (It’s a good idea to mark off days as you complete them on a calender so you can remember which ones are finished)
Once you get in the routine you can start to check the Inbox at the beginning of your shift for Delivery Status Notifications/emails sent back. Do a search for that specific applicant in career connection and see if you can find an alternate email.
*Any issues ever with career connection you can call Lauren at 757-466-2958. Also your direct line here is 757-578-4501. If your phone rings, answer it – Almost always it will be somebody you called. If they are calling about something else, take a message and give to Loree.
Generally, we like to keep your door closed to eliminate distractions for you and for us.
This is a very independent job which really focuses on results. We know that from the 90 that you call and send every day, we will get around 15 to 20 a day that sign in to watch the Employment Video.
